Admissions Information Request

Financial Aid

Federal School Code 012051
Financial Aid programs available to students include Pell Grant and Direct Student Loan. Grant money awarded is gift aid that does not have to be repaid. These programs require students to complete an application form which is available in the school office. Information is collected from students and sometime parents to determine aid eligibility. Students who borrow money from the Direct Student Loan program are required and obligated to repay these loans when they become due.

The financial aid office reserves the right to review and cancel or revise an award at any time because of changes in the student's financial or academic status.  The aid from federal programs is not automatically continued from one year to the next.  Students must reapply each award year

Aid received from financial aid programs must be used for educational purposes only. Before receiving any funds, each student must sign a statement certifying that he/she will use the money for educational purposes only and agree to repay any money received that was not used for educational purposes.

Tuition and fees are due at the time classes begin. Students who cannot pay their tuition and fees in full at the time classes begin may apply for Federal Financial Aid for grant and loans.
Grant or loan money will be credited to the students account to pay tuition. This account must be paid in full before student graduates the program.

If a student transfers from another school, his/her financial aid does not automatically transfer and he/she must check with the financial aid officer to see what aid is available. Transfer students must submit a financial aid transcript from their prior school to verify the types and amounts of aid previously received.

Eligibility Requirements for Aid:
1. Be a citizen or an eligible non-citizen, and must be enrolled in an eligible program of study.

2. Apply for a Pell grant before being considered for any of the other Title IV aid programs
3. Be making satisfactory progress toward the completion of his/her course of study

4. Certify that he/she does not owe a repayment on a Pell Grant, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, or State Student Incentive Grant that was received to attend any school

5. Certify he/she is not in default on any loan received under the Perkins Loan Program (formerly National Direct Student Loan Program), the Stafford Loan Program (formerly Guaranteed Student Loan Program), or the Plus/SLS program.
6. Provide any documentation, verification, corrections and or new information requested by the financial aid officer to which the application was submitted.

Any financial aid commitment involving the use of federal funds is tentative and conditional upon subsequent congressional appropriation, actual receipt of the funds by the school, and completion of the necessary forms by the students.
